It is that time of year again — more than 50 public outdoor pools in New York City are officially open to the public starting on Saturday.

Outdoor pools will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day through Sept. 13. Admission is free, and no membership is required to use the pools across the five boroughs.

On particularly hot days, some pools may reach capacity — leaving visitors waiting in line before they can enter.

The Parks Department is celebrating 90 years of public pools in New York City this year. Free swim lessons will be offered at 18 outdoor pools this summer, with 16,000 spots available, the agency said.
